What did you pay for your first sleep study? I am trying to see if I can do some price shopping before I get one done. Doc thinks I have sleep apnea.

My first study cost $2000.00 in 1992. If you are a veteran you can probably get it done for free.

$6000.

$600 out of pocket.  In-network provider (so 90% was covered, I paid the remaining 10%).

This was in 2009, in a Philadelphia hospital.

I cured my own sleep apnea problem my giving myself post hyponic suggestions that I would breathe easy and continously before I went to sleep.
It took two or three nights to finally work, but I haven't had any problems in a couple of years.

Sleep study = $0
CPAP =$0
New mask every month = $0

Being active duty military is nice sometimes.  I LOVE my CPAP.  If it was portable and if I didn't look like a retard, I'd wear it all day.

Was reading about this the other day and they say some easy home remedys to try is:

* Drink some hot tea before you go to bed or

* Gargle some hot water and salt before bedtime

* Raise part of your bed up about 10+ degrees (pillow side) with some bricks this will help with the way you sleep
