Just a proud parent and wanted to share with you folks... My 17 son just told me yesterday that  he broke the HS school record for free weight squat. Old 10 year record for 185lbs weight Junior was 465lbs, he squated 505lbs and he still has lots of time to go beyond that!!! Very cool.

He also was invited to be a member of the National Honor Society, he will have to be nominated/accepted in front of the board in a few weeks,  wish him the best.

Thanks,
 Brian

I used to squat a retarded amount of weight back in the day myself. My knees are really paying for it now.

Sounds like your boy has his shit together.

I never lifted a lot of weights, just spent my youth on a skateboard and my early adult life humping rucks for Uncle Sam.

As I sit here with it pouring rain outside, I feel your pain. Time for the Motrin and Aleve.

BTW - Congrats to your son, OP!

Congrats..............be proud, dad.

605 is right around the corner.

Just keep an eye on him, alot of todays HS powerlifters are pressured to use anabolics to stay competitive.
