Guys, I gotta tell ya about my best friend. He just Enlisted in the Army Reserve. He had put in his papers months ago and it has taken a long time for waivers etc. He is about 62 I guess. Don't even start, Biatches!!! Let me explain.
Back in the late 60s he was an 11 Bravo with the First Cav in VN x 2 tours. Came home (was arrested in San Francisco) for stuffing a hippie in a garbage can!! Finished his degree as a medical technologist. Went on to grad school and just about had a PhD in Anatomy when he decided to go to med school. After med school and residency he joined a reserve SF unit. Served there for some years as a Doc. Got out. Now he is gonna be back in. He is a tough, MoFo BTW. Works out like a fiend. Very mentally tough and very good at his job. I am going to visit him next month. He got me started in Guns and Knives etc. Treats me like his own son. I am proud to call him my friend. Our country is lucky to have such men. They are making fewer and fewer of them. I had sent him a Gerber LMF II ASEK as a gift when I found out he was joining up (didn't know it would take this long). Now I was able to pick up a BugOut Gear 5016 ACU-IR for him. It was pretty reasonable at aafes.com. Just wanted to brag about my buddy and remind everyone that we got some great guys in uniform past and present.
