I just picked up a sporterized SMLE with a GREAT bore to be used as a hunting rifle.

Besides Leupold, where might I find a scope calibrated, with compensators, for the .303 British round?

England. Sorry, couldn't resist. IMO most who shoot .303 in this country do so with un-messed with rifles. That's a shame, because there are some great deals out there on rifles that have already been sporterized, and .303 can be a great round with a good barrel.

You're never gonna find a scope with a bullet drop compensator regulated for .303  It's just too oddball.

Get an ordinary fixed power scope, and leave it at that.

Leave it zeroed  for 200 yards, and learn the trajectory.

A 300 yard zero will hit a 5" kill zone from 100 to 400 yards without changing the settings.
It's what the original battle sights were calibrated for.
