This is the Speech project outline, but I want to do something interesting and want to see what you guys can come up with that won't be to hard to research and get facts about. Some kids did these ones already. All girls btw did 1-3. 1. Why stay at home parents should be paid? lol 2. Should female athletes be paid as much as males? 3. Why neurosurgeons deserve higher pay than baseball players? Here's the rubric. <meta content="text/html; charset=utf-8" http-equiv="Content-Type"></meta> <meta content="Word.Document" name="ProgId"></meta> <meta content="Microsoft Word 12" name="Generator"></meta> <meta content="Microsoft Word 12" name="Originator"></meta> [li] [li] [li] Speech <o:p></o:p> In this 5-7 minute speech, examine a particular aspect of work and deliver an entertaining and informative presentation. For example, if you think that prostitution should be legalized, why do you feel that way? Give us the relevant background and convince us your ideas are amazing. You should have some type of handout, something for everyone to reference while you are speaking. You may use PowerPoint if you would like, although it is not required. This will be an informative speech where you present a problem and take a stance on it. Think of your speeches as launching pads for your papers: a place where you can try out ideas and formulate theses. Your speech should show your enthusiasm for your topic and show us why you have chosen this topic. (It does not have to be the same topic as your paper) You are not expected to memorize your speech; conversely, avoid simply reading a transcript word for word. Command the attention of your audience and engage their interests! Look at the entire audience and be appealing. Practice your speech several times before presenting it in front of the class. You will be graded on quality of visual organization, analysis/ cohesion, originality, delivery, and handout(s). (See “Scoring Rubric for Speech”) So lets hear some ideas. Thanks guys. |
