unless you're doing that for zero, that's a waste of a .50 cal.

It's the only thing that has ever kept me from buyin one. I can't find anywhere to shoot past 100 yards.

Do you plan on leaving that Nikon on it? Im wondering if one would hold up on a .50 we got laying in the basement.

Yep, the MKIII is a much better design.
I have one and it has been running great with no problems at all.
I reload all my ammo and have had absolutely no problems ever (well at least after I put a Jard heavy hammer in)....
The 50BMG is a really fun gun to shoot!!!
