T-Rex.  They are like $8.00 a pop, but well worth it.  Easy to set, and won't break your fingers or toes if it catches them.

Just caught this fucker an hour ago.

That's the exact trap that the pros use.

I know an exterminator who won't use anything but those.

I pulled one of them nasty things out of my attic this morning using that same T-Rex.....really, really nice product.  I particularly like how easy they are to set w/o breaking/lacerating a finger.

As I sit now, I have it reset up there again tonight....as I've heard another scurrying around up there.  I need to get someone out to seal up my gables and whatnot I guess.

I use them too. But fuck me $8.00????They have gone up. I think I paid less than $5.00 for mine at lowes.

That's for singles here in Hawaii.  You can get a case of twelve of them for $52 (before shipping) on Amazon.

The last time I trapped a rat,  in a regular Victor rat trap, the wire came down right across the eyes.  BAM!  eyes exploded, and GONE.  Skull smashed.   It was certainly instantaneous and painless.   A little bit of a mess but not much considering how effectively DEAD the critter was.

It was better than the one before it...caught by the tail in a glue trap.  Very much alive and healthy.   I had to do the little guy in myself.   Rubber mallet time.   It was quick and painless...or I sure hope so.   I'll kill a rat but I take no pleasure in it and I won't let them suffer.

Is that a rat or a mouse?

How well would these work against squirrels?

I hate rats...

The rats I saw as a kid around the breweries in Milwaukee, you couldn't fit their foot in that trap. Bigger than most cats they were, and mean too. Damn friggin rats.
