I saw someone claim that the mandate that every individual must purchase health insurance by 2014 was a GOP amendment. How could I go about debunking this?

That one issue is the basis for it being unconstitutional. If the GOP was responsible the Dem's would be all over it.
On the other hand if it is true, i dont think it is, then we are even more fucked than we thought.
