Anyone here a member? What are your thoughts on it? I just signed up for the 10-day trial and it already appears that any game that is semi-popular has a low availability ![]()

Never had a problem getting a game. In fact, we got MW2 on release day. |

I've been a member for about a year and I love it. It's cheaper than renting from somewhere else, you can keep it as long as you want, and if you like it you can buy the copy you already have in your hand and they'll mail you the box and manual. Plus you buy the games for less since they're used.
You'll want a bunch of games on your queue and might not get the one at the top if it's in demand since people hold onto them for more than a day or two like they might with Netflix. I play all kinds of games that I wouldn't have if I had to buy them, and have been saved from buying games that I thought I wanted that turned out to be crap. Since getting Gamefly, I've played a better variety of games, bought fewer games, never had buyer's remorse about the ones I did buy, and don't pay full price. Gamefly does for gaming what Netflix does for home video rental. Get it, load up your queue, and don't look back. My only complaint is that they only have a few distribution centers so the mail turn-around takes longer as mine have to go all the way to LA. Hopefully this will change as they grow. |
| Turn around is slow and its hard to get the top games early. Keep you queue filled. Its like a lesser version of netflix. That's not a knock, there is just less demand and more expensive product. Accept it for what it is and enjoy. I like buying games from them too, pristine cases/manuals, and you get to make sure the disc/game is good. |
