That depends.  In kindergarden I wanted to be the Sparklets Water Delivery guy.  I am not doing that but I'm sure there is still time.

Then I wanted to be a pro baseball player.  That isn't happening.

Then it was a pro wrestler.  There is still time I supose.

When I was a kid (5-6), my life's ambition was to be the man that hung off the back of the garbage truck.

Then, when I was 8-10, I used to watch the salt ships unload in Chelsea from across the Chelsea Creek in East Boston.  I always wondered what kinds of neat places all those ships went and how neat it would be to do that.

I love my job.

Yes, I became an Ironworker, however it was a poor choice climbing Derricks and Towers wasn't near as much fun at 50 as it was at 17.

Nope.

I didn't even end up pursuing the career path I expected from high school through most of college. I had planned to go into law. I switched gears only after my junior year in college.

And now, I am perfectly happy with my career.

I'm an engineer (electrical).  I knew growing up that in order to earn the kind of money I knew I was going to want to earn, I would need to do something technical.  Plus, I'm good at technical stuff.  I find it interesting.  So yes, I have the job I wanted to have as a kid.
