| Anybody have any good side jobs where they get additional income? Preferable that do not require any special skills? |
|
My main job is night work in a computer center.
My secondary job is as an inspector of damaged freight. I get a phone call, a fax, or an e-mail and I go where the commodity is and inspect it and its container. I get paid a flat rate for each inspection, usually about a month or so after the form and photos were sent to the client. It doesn't pay well enough to live on, but it is good money for a side job. Good luck finding a job like this, the company I work for doesn't have another inspector for 250+ miles around here. I got the job because I know the previous inspector, he decided to retire and gifted me with the job. Steve |

| in terms of $ per hour a waiter is hard to beat for a side job where you just need to hustle and have an up beat attitude. I think $20-30 an hour isnt hard at all for most waiters at a stable business regardless even at a mid priced establishment. Long nights are the down side, but i used to sleep like a baby after a busy friday night at my first job which was a little local italian place that got crazy sometimes. |

When I was in college it was Trimming palm trees and not those big tall SOB's either. Depending on the neighborhood (retired best) most have 2 trees takes about 25 minutes per tree to trim, strip and clean up. I would get 35.00 per tree.
Tools needed mini truck extention ladder bow saw box cutter electric chain saw and 100ft cord rake shit scoup Flyers to advertise your hustle Job hazards wasps, bees, mice. Also while in college while doing my tree hustle. I scored a relationship with and older couple that led to a strong 20 year friendship until thier passing. They had a old garage they let me rent from them. That I converted into a little wood shop. I found me an old cast iron craftsman table saw with the motor burned out for haul off. A router,a drill press, cross cut saw, a wood lathe, and some basic hand tools all in used condition that I hustled from yard sales etc. So I started turning out wooden bowles, doll furniture, cedar lined chests, coffee end tables, magazine racks, and custom picture frames. I sold them at the swap meet and made killer cash.. Now that I'm retired and to stay busy and creative. I do leatherwork, and sell at the craft shows and farmers market. Another easy hustle |
