I've seen worse. But now you know why Larue makes his SPR, SPR 1.5, and SPR E mounts. I called Larue and he told me he did not have any mounts that allowed you to see the irons with the scope attached. Because that's kind of a physical impossibility Unless your scope is mounted on a soup can with both ends removed, there's no way to put a scope on a rifle and still be able to use irons.

Quoted: True...but with the QD levers the scope is so easy to remove that seeing the irons isn't important.Quoted: I've seen worse. Quoted: I finally got my PTR91 scoped with an MFI mount and riser so I can still use the iron sights with the scope. I had to move the scope and rings forward to the very front notch on the rail to have proper eye relief. Only problem is my front ring is hanging off the end of the rail a little. 2/3rds are still gripping the rail and it feels solid still. Is this ok or will it cause me problems? http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i24/SkagSig40/Christmastree002.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i24/SkagSig40/Christmastree001.jpg You DID locktite the screws, right? You'll be perfectly fine. The recoil on the HK91 is more of a push; the roller-lock eats up a lot of the sharp jolt from the cartridge. Make sure your buffer is moving; some finishing (parking) jobs kind of sealed them up and it's not like having a buffer in there at all. You can get a new buffer from Buffer Technologies which should mitigate a fair piece of the impact. Good Luck! oh, and check headspacing with a feeler gauge as well. |

No Lock tight as I will take it on and off as needed. I also have a heavy MSG90 buffer installed in the new stock. |

See that "tunnel" in the riser? It acts as the soup can. |
