Does anyone here play darts?

I have recently have started playing darts over the past year or so (nothing serious, just for fun) and just really enjoy them. My buddy has a really nice professional arcade dart board (the kind you see in bars/arcade with the screen & animations) but those can run anywhere from $300-$3,000 and I'd rather not spend that amount of cash on a dartboard. He doesn't know much about other boards because his Girlfriends Uncle gave him his when he first started playing (its a $1000 arcade board he got for free).

Can anyone recommend a Good stand alone soft tip electronic dartboard that will last as well as having a bunch of built in games?

I know I can go to any website like Amazon and type in dartboards and It will bring up a list with tons of boards ranging from $20 - $100. I want to know what people would recommend for an At Home Electronic Dartboard.

What are your suggestions?

Thanks
Joker

I have this dart board here

Sportcraft Bristle Board

In the cabinet just like that one. It's not electronic, but I like to play cricket and enjoy scoring with chalk. It's a great dartboard for the price you pay. The cabinet looks nice on the wall... I'd definitely recommend replacing the darts that it came with, but the board itself is nice enough for me.

Thanks, I find it funny that I only received ONE response haha

I forgot to mention I am looking for a soft tip dart board. I want this because that's the type of darts they use in the tournaments around here and my buddy has played a couple tournaments and said they were a lot of fun. Also I want to use my darts on his board and wont be able to if its steel tip.

Get a bristle board and the 20g darts with interchangeable tips, like these.

20 gram weight is the heaviest you can use with the soft tips...

The bristle board will last you a lifetime... all it takes is a chalkboard and some arithmetic to play all the games on the electronic boards...

I used to play league but kind of slipped out of it over the years. Lot of fun. For a board you can't go wrong with Arachnid, they were the first and pretty much started the soft tip game. I've got an old Cricket Pro board thats probably14-15 yrs old and has had many hundreds of games played on it and it still works great. You didn't say how much you want to spend but if it was me buying I'd be looking at the Cricket Pro 650 for $160 at Amazon. Theres some cheaper boards there also. I've always used Muellers for darts & supplies. Their catalogs free and great for bathroom browsing.
Muellers

ETA I've never bought from this place but their prices are better than Amazons.

I also used to pay on a league.

Get a regular board and a chalkboard and exercise your brain a little bit.

Trust me, it gets easier with practice .

Back when I worked in Iraq we played A LOT of darts. Now that I'm home I have a board in the garage but no one to play with.
