What ACOG models have government contracts? Does anyone use the 6X magnification one? Do you ever have to adjust these? How hard is it to learn how to shoot long range with one? Do you adjust for windage. heat, or anything? What rifles will they work on best?

The used one for my unit was the TA31 RCOM4

Just zero at 25 meters and good to go, from a bipod I could hit a man size target most of the time at 600m

We put some on M249s but only when we ran out of M145s.

It's not hard to shoot with these, google the reticule....it's easy...but it is calibrated for 62 grain ammunition from a 14.5" barrel ––if you're using something different you might not get perfect results at long range but it'll be pretty close even if you use 55 grain out of a 16 inch barrel.

TA31s aren't that accurate nor are the rifles they sit on.

The one I have is the one the Army adopted. It's the TA31RCO-M150. Basically a -31F with ARD and flip-up covers. Oddly enough the knobs on the mount are on the right side, not the left like any other ACOG I've ever seen.

What type of magnification works best for an M4?Not sure if the ones with the pepe site on the top, the one with nothing on top, or the one with the reflex is best?
