I love steak.... I love big steaks.... especially ones that require other food to go on a separate plate.

I present to Arfcom, my first ever dinner pic:

Good piece of meat that..

Now with the criticisms..

Glass of milk with a steak?

Wipe the plate before presentation.

Use a steak knife!

Buy yourself a good (1 - 1 1/2 inch) steak instead of such a large cheap one then you can fit everything on the plate!

Quantity is no substitute for Quality.

No fries, coleslaw, or mushrooms + milk instead of beer or wine = Fail.

1)  That meat is waaaay too thin to be cooked properly.  And what the hell cut is that anyway?  A rectangular steak?

2)  Milk?  Get yourself a bottle of something red and hearty.

3)  Ditch the beans and replace them with a man's steak side dish:  A fully-loaded baked potato.

I'll award one point for the grill marks.

You're right.  I did fail to note his geographical disadvantage.  Well, at least the beans weren't buried in a bowl of chili.  OK, for his future edification (and that of others who find themselves drooling over a flat, over-cooked piece of cow)...this is a steak:

That "charcoal" is a charred crust from the open flame cooking method preferred by non-emasculated men, and is quite flavorful.  And the warm, pink center is the only way to truly preserve the taste of quality beef.  If you find that you're too squeamish for the sight of meat then perhaps a nice tofu burger while relaxing in your Crocs would be more to your liking.

If ketchup or A-1 improves the taste of your steak, it's not worth eating to begin with.

That is an ~1.5# top sirloin steak cooked (unfortunately) a little more than I'd have liked, twas a step beyond the medium rare of preference.

The milk is because it was ice cold and newly opened. That, and I haven't found any alcohol that suits me yet.

I was originally going for a baked potato to be included in all that, but the potatoes that I had set aside were truly dwarfed by the steak. I took pity on them and decided to omit them from the meal.

and next time i'll convince the roomie (who had the other steak) to put his Auto 5 on the table instead of his P99
