I'm starting to look for another house but I haven't found a website I really like yet.  Are there any that will find homes for sale in a town or area from different realtors?   What about the foreclosed and bank owned houses?   Those sites seem like a scam.   There are a lot of nice foreclosed houses around MI and I'm pretty good at fix up projects so these could be a good way for me to go, but I'm not sure how to look for them.

Realtor.com  Good resource.

You might have something more focused locally.

As far as REO's, I still haven't found a good free site.   Most banks are slow re: bank owned, and don't want to field a million emails from people.   If it's listed with a Realtor for a price, it should come up.

Other options:   HomePath  Fannie Mae's houses.  They offer special financing for primary residences, remodel/improvement loans, and most are under market price

I tried it and the foreclosed houses take you right to Realtytrac.com, the one that you have to put in a credit card to register for before you can get any real info about the houses.

This site shows foreclosures and provides some detail on them - pictures, address, and where it is in the foreclosure process.  It is also nice to use to look for houses in general as it does not make you jump through hoops to get basic information.
