One of my friends drives truck for a living and last week had a job hauling scrap metal. When he went to drop of his load, he found out it was all brass shells, supposedly once fired from a military base. He asked if he could buy some from the scrap yard, they told him no but let him take a 5 gallon pail full. He doesn't reload, but knows I'm getting set up to do so, so he gave it to me!
I'm not sure if it's from a military bass or not, it's mixed 9mm, .40, .45, 223 FC and LC, 243, 270, 300 Weatherby, 308 mixed, and 6.5x55
