AR15 get hacked?  Mailing list I don't know about?

I ask this because I received a spam email sent to an address I created just for and only this site.  Yes I know the email address is clean because the address and domain is something I own, not a yahoo/hotmail type.  And yes I am sure it is spam referring to an infected .zip to download.

I haven't seen any other traffic on this topic, so I'm guessing you got hit by a random address generator that a BG is using.

I am also receiving a lot of spam mail to an email address that is only used for this website and from which no mail is sent. I own the domain and run the mail server myself and generate unique email addresses for everything. My other unique email addresses are not having this problem. It started about the time you posted this thread, but it has continued through today. The mail is apparently not being sent through ar15.com's website, so somehow someone has managed to obtain the email addresses from this site.

I'm experiencing the same problem.  I'm got an email from somebody claiming to be an account manager for "NACHA security nitification" and that my last 4 transactions have been canceled, click on the .zip to view.  I also created a unique email through my wife's domain and I know nobody else has this address.  Frustrating to say the least, now I can expect more from this joker.

We looked at all the logs from each server and have not found any sign of intrusion. I'll check through pages to see if there's anything that reveals email addresses. I have older email addresses which are not getting any spam and I have created 5 test emails which have not gotten spam either. It could be something related to the site and not the site itself.

There's suspicions that iContact has had a leak of some sort and they handle ar15.com's newsletter, if I recall correctly. Of course, iContact has admitted nothing of the sort. I cannot vouch for the veracity of those rumors though.

It would be my guess as well, but I don't want to point fingers. Big systems like theirs are huge targets for this type of attack.
