GB, is there a way to add a status indicator in a users profile?   I don't see one in there and it would be nice to have.

Even if it was a green or red light to signify their online or offline status.

Just a thought.

right then.... although I don't quite see the point since 99% of the time you are clicking on user profile from their user thingy in the thread where it shows their status... or am I grossly miscalculating how people do this?

Nope your right on target.  I do not see the point either as you have to click on the User info link to see the profile and that button is within easy view of the online/offline Indicator.
But what the hell it would give Goatboy a few more lines of code to write.

Personally I wish all the avatars were actually hotlinks to the profile page.  (just click on the avatar to go to profile). that would free up space and remove the buttons from each post.
Kind of like a drop down menu when you hover over the avatar. with the drop down menu showing links for email, IM, user info, Report post ect ect......
But that code would likely be very complicated considering the number of avatars and the frequency in which some change them

That would be cool for the user stuff like IM, email, view profile.... but I wouldn't want to add another click to have to quote and reply... plus I hate fucking drop down menus as it is...

ON A SIDE NOTE: I just noticed the user profile section got an overhaul. There's a blog, an option to put a user image (not sure if we had that before... come to think of it I think we did...)...

so yeah... we have a blog option now. I think there was also an increase in the amount of characters you can put into the bio. It's 2000 now... I want to say it was considerably less before.

USMC88-93 got what I meant.  In the 'User Info' it would be nice to have a online/offline indicator.  Yes, the green and red light under your avatar would work perfectly.

I often use it as a Mod when contacting other Mods.  I click on their name next to their forum of responsibilty.  I think this could also help others who contact Mods in that fashion.

I certainly don't want to add time to GBs long list of things to do. I certainly don't know if it's 1 line of code or 50,000 lines of code.

It is just a suggestion.

(Now if he would just write code for a Slurpee machine in the Team Forum, life would be perfect)

couldn't hurt then... why not. I can't imagine it would be a lot of code that can't simply be copy&pasted.
