I realize this forum seems more for technical suggestions than procedural ones - but I didn't know where else to put this.

I recommend that - when duplicate threads are locked as duplicates - the policy be for the individual who locks the thread to post a link to the thread being maintained as the "unlocked" standard.  Those of us using "My Active Topics" often find threads locked with no explanation and it is not often easy to find the similar thread lost on the main pages - assuming that is even why the thread is locked.

Is this doable?  This requires no code change - just simple instructions to the mods to communicate what they are doing.

Great idea....

edited to add: but in alot of cases it is hard to get the mod/staff that locked a thread to post who locked it [:(] much less why it was lock...sometimes it isn't so obvious as to why it was locked.
