| I think the industry sponcers deserve their own sections on the EE and the rest of the EE needs too be for regular non partners. It is getting a little tough too look through 10 20 adds from retailers just too find somthing that may be priced right from an individual Just my .02 |

This has been brought up, and shot down many times... The hope is that the new ee would help this problem out.
IF the dealers* would stick to the 6 or less posts per page rule (rumored rule) than I think it wouldn't be near as bad as it is. *not all, heck, not even most of the dealers abuse the rule. Pete (Legal Transfers) and Dennysguns are the two offenders that stick out in my mind with up to 16 threads at once bumped to the top. ETA: Much like everything in life - a few bad apples ruin everything... But like everything else, we take the good with the bad and work our way through it. In the big picture this hardly matters. I vote with my wallet, I support the site and the vendors that in my not so humble opinion make this site great. Not the ones that again in my not so humble opinion are like leaches and drain the place of its greatness. |

How about a Missouri Hometown Forum thread EE that only contains links to the individual (non-commerical) ads on the site EE like this one on page two of the MoHTF EE page two of the MoHTF EE?
Two lines only. First line contains what it is and how much. The second line is the link to the ad on the site EE. This would comply with the site rules as the actual ad would be on the EE and Missouri members would have a place to see local items for sale. Any violation to this formula and the moderator whacks the post on the thread. ETA: I would help eric10mm moderate the MoHTF one if needed. |

Quoted: We are trying to bypass the vendor threads that normally take up most of the page(Dennysguns) and just look at what individuals have for sale. I can create a filter for the state searches which does this. I'll put it on the list to get done ASAP. Give me a couple of days. |
People are complaining that most of the time all you will see are ads from dennysguns & jsesurplus (we love our home state vendors but "Uncle" already) when using the Missouri (MO) specific EE link. It would be awesome if you could create a filter for the Industry Partners and Dealers. Then only private (non-commercial) ads would show.

Much appreciated that you are willing to script a filter this will certainly be a big help.

Quoted: Ok all set for you guys. The state search will now filter out company ads! Next time just ask before you guys have a break down. That's what I'm here for! GoatBoy, What about having 2 separate folders (one for dealers and one for private party sales)? (I know the different colors seperate dealer from private party) Meaning..................... Say I go to the EE, I click on AR15 Parts - New - Uppers Then there is a sub folder: AR15 Parts - New - Uppers Dealers AR15 Parts - New - Uppers Private Party Sales Heck, While asking, I would like to see it broken down by caliber. 5.56, 6.8, etc... grouped by components... all BCGs together, all Upper together, all stocks together. Just a thought. ETA: Any possibility of forcing them to clean up their post? If an item is sold, put sold in the title. Or better yet, delete it all together. |
