I love their stuff. As per usual, their cask strength single barrel is my favorite. Get the Original or Blue Peak to start, they’re fantastic. Original is marketed as. 4 year but often has up to 9 years in the blend. It’s all distilled in CO as the first legal distillery west of the Mississippi since prohibition. All of their whiskeys are American single malts and then they do a lot of experimenting with finishing. Most are in the 90s for proof. The Blue Peak is finished in a Foeder with a Solera method, and everything is initially ages in no 3 charted American oak When I get home this will make 6 different bottles on my shelf from them. |

My most recent acquisitions. I like the LAWS least and the Frey the most. The others are all good, but not sure they will be replaced when they are gone. I have empty Weller SR, Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare and Frey Bourbon (90 proof version) and I will replace all of those. I have a Frey barrel pick coming on Tuesday. Attached File |
