ATTENTION FELLOW MEMBERS:
I hope someone can help me find the way to post photos within a thread here? Read everything possible here on the forum, even Googled "How To" attach pictures on this site, but......Still cannot figure out how to do this folks. Do I even require to be a member for so long before doing so? I know they need to use "Dropbox" or "PhotoBucket" to even do this but I can't even get to that point? If someone can help me out please I would forever in your debt on HOW TO learn to attach / post up photos in here PLEASE?? THEN, I will "Edit" this thread to the point where I wish to post everything and attach the pics I want so you can all see what items I am even talking about within. :) Many thanks everyone - hope one of you (OR a Moderator or someone can drop the Step By Step instructions for me. I need them that way because I have TBI and processing info that is read into actually doing something is more difficult to me than most. Reason being - a massive IED happened to be in my way while with the Marines in Iraq. :( Thanks folks! Gunny |

Gunny If you go to Photobucket, there will be a button that says "Sign up", "Create an account" or something similar. Click it. Enter the information they require. Once you have created your account, there will be a blue "Upload" button near the top of the screen when you are logged in. Click it and select the photos you want to upload from your computer. Click on one of the images you have uploaded, then click on the "Direct" box (highlighted in red). This will copy a link to that particular image to your clipboard. 
In your post here, there are a series of buttons below the area where you enter text. Click on the button that looks like a painting (fourth from the right) and paste the link into the box that appears (By right clicking and selecting "paste" or using the keyboard: control key + v). The link to the image will show up in "tags" in the text box that look like this [*img]link to image here [/img*], but without the asterisks. The image will then show up in your post. |

I can't even seem to find the "Thanks" or "Like" button on your reply to formally give you thanks - does this site even have such a thing too? So I suppose using DropBox is not feasible on here, only PhotoBucket huh? Ok- here I go then. Take care! Gunny

There's no "like" or anything here, but I'll graciously accept any fine watches instead. 
I don't know about Dropbox, I've only ever used Photobucket. Another thing if you end up sticking around here, we have a dedicated military forum (veterans and active duty) that you can gain access to by emailing a copy of your DD214 or CAC (you may redact personal information such as address, etc.) to one of several moderators on the site who are also veterans. There are plenty of military members here who choose not to, but the forum is a nice private place to bullshit with other vets if you want. |

Dropbox works also from a Mac or PC. I haven't tried it from an iPhone or Android. You must have them in your Public folder, then right-click on the photo and select public link. After that, follow the steps that basselope posted and paste the link into the insert image window.  |
