Customer came in a couple of weeks ago asking about some watches that belonged to his father. A junker, a nice old Accutron that didn't work and an Omega Seamaster. I told him the Omega was a good watch and of the three was the only one worth messing with. He asked if I wanted to buy it? I had him leave it so I could do a little research. The inside was in great shape. I looked up numbers and made calls and gave him an offer.
Before:
I didn't have a higher end gents watch so I sent it to my watch guy for a going over. He cleaned, lubed, replaced the seal and luminous marker paint. He said it was keeping time great. I put a new strap on it and now its all mine.
I'll get the crown and stem replaced with one that matches next time I order from my watch parts supplier. I won't tell how much I paid, but its the cheapest watch I've worn in over 20 years even after paying for service.

Nice watch!
What was the Accutron model, BTW?

NICE!
I opened the thread and my first thought was; "please, put that on a leather strap."
