Just curious you guys' thoughts on Bulova watches

I got one for a High School grad gift back in 91 ( a millennia 100m model that has digital and analog)

I have put 2 batteries in it and the 3rd just died.. I did let it sit for probably 10 years not wearing it at all.

I was thinking of upgrading the band on it as it has a couple broken cosmetic pieces on it. Any thoughts on that as well?  Its a stainless model..

Bulova builds a good watch.
I would take it to a jewelry to have them replace the battery, and NOT to the Wal Mart, or battery store.

Also, if the links are damaged, you could just replaces those links, or the band.
And keep on wearing the watch.

pull the stem out when you dont wear it, should save the battery a bit longer

I have a Bulova my ex-H gave me for an anniversary gift.  It still runs, and still looks perfect even after over 15 years.
I've never let WalMart change the battery--I always took it to a jewelry store for that.

I have a bunch of Bulova's, as they are probably my favorite all-around brand.

...oh, and they are all from the 1930s to the 1970s.
No modern stuff, so I am probably not much help there.

I have a marine star mechanical.  Sapphire crystal.

It's been a good watch for 5 years now.  I think I'll get another 5 out of it unless I totally screw up and destroy it by being a klutz.

I'd buy another one if I found it for the price I got mine for.  Hell, I might get 2.
