Got this in a couple weeks ago.  I'm pretty happy about it.  First off, I picked up the AR Mod from vapor-hub.com for $180, and I have to say shipping was quick and problem free.  They also offer a few RDAs with black top caps as add ons (I picked up an Igo-w5 with mine) as well as magnetic button and silver plated brass contact upgrades.

The nitty gritty: Before anyone asks, the rails are not functional.  Ask me how I know.   All stainless steel save the adjustable brass contacts, delrin insulator in the top and what appears to be a rubber o ring in the bottom.  It also comes with an authentication dog tag with the serial number stamped on it.

The threads are MASSIVE and sharp.  2 1/4 to 2 1/2 turns and it's on.  Not much chance of cross threading on this thing.

The body is hefty and solid as you might imagine.  Serial number is stamped on one side.

Top cap is adjustable.  This is also the only spot I've seen so far with any finish issues, this is possibly user error as I tend to gorilla grip everything ever.  Time will tell.

The button is also adjustable, non locking, and can be adjusted from recessed to flush fitting (could also be adjusted to be a bit proud, but why do that?).

In its original configuration, the throw is very light and short.  I also ordered the magnetic upgrade as well for about $8 IIRC.  With the magnet the throw become a good deal stiffer.  I have run into a sparse few misfires with the magnets, none so far with the spring.  I do like that the button is octagonal and can't spin out of the button assembly.

Connectivity is pretty much ridiculous.  I'm seeing about .2-.4 voltage drop consistently with the plain brass contacts.  With silver plated ones it can only get better.

All in all I'm very pleased with it.  It's a little too chunky for me to carry around throughout the day, I've got a Magneto I can beat up for that purpose.  I find it works perfectly for sitting at home in my chair.  It comes in at 6.6 oz, 1" wide,  4.2" tall.  I appreciate this the same way I do my ZT knives, very nice, very functional, very high quality, very big and heavy.

With a black Tobecco KFL+:

Thanks.  The button is a pretty simple affair.

Thanks for the great write up and pics. I so wanted to pull the trigger on this but if I have to upgrade a switch on a $180 mod I am out. That bish should be butter  smoooth for that kind of dough.

I have that same igo-w and use it often. I love how it looks and performs on my black nemmy.

I would actually suggest that you don't get the magnet at first as that's the only place I've had any problem at all (a small one in my opinion).  I can fire the spring with my pinky all day, but with the magnet is stiff enough to be middle or ring finger only.  Yeah, the magnet is a little smoother but the spring is very nice as well.  I actually swap them back and forth when I feel like tinkering with something.

Thanks.  Believe me, I was hoping for #762 or 357.

ETA: You know someone at Tacmods has 223 or 556.  That shit never left the factory.
