A recently locked troll thread started with the OPs premise that a world war would be a good thing. One of his lame ass reasons was that the earth is overpopulated and could stand a cleansing (I'm paraphrasing).
Got me thinkin' and ciperin'.
World populaton of 7.108 billion.
If everyone stood in a group on 4 square feet each (2'x2'), that would require 1020 square miles of area +/-.
Correct, or did I divide by zero? (I'm 99.999% sure this is correct.)
TIA!

Seems right to me.

1019.85767 square miles is what I came up with.

and they all would fit in Rhode  Island (1212 sq mi)...with room to spare.

Earth over-populated? Not by a long shot.
All the stupid ones are just concentrated into large cities.

I did this same calculation using 3sq ft (there are some lard asses out there) to make the same point....

I have used "an area slightly larger than Jacksonville, FL" to illustrate the point.
The social engineers who portray Mother Earth as suffering with too many nasty humans are delusional.
