looks similar to my instant pot pressure cooker
http://instantpot.com/ I've used mine to do everything from steaming veggies to cooking rice to quick ribs to pot roast and all manner of things in between. one of my favorite uses is for making (soup)stock...toss carcass in pot, add aromatics and seasonings of choice and a bit of water, attach lid and set on high for as long as the timer allows(for mine, it's 2hrs). when done, vent the pressure and let cool for 10 min or so. portion out into freezable containers. seal containers and place in freezer. once frozen, use as you would any other soup/stock base. |

I posted in an electric pressure cooker thread some months ago. My girl friend convinced me to by a 6 quart electric pressure cooker. As I'v said, it's the greatest invention since sliced bread, rubber tires, and step ladders.
You need to purchase "Great Food Fast" by Bob Warden. Lots of tested recipes that don't require a lot of odd extra seasonings. His recipes will feed 4 to 6 persons, and cover everything from soups to cheesecake. http://www.amazon.com/Presents-Wardens-Ultimate-Pressure-Recipes/dp/1934193798 |
| i use the instant pot Duo I think its the 7 in 1 model that even will make yogurt, ive done bbq pork shoulder from fridge to plate in 2 hours that will compete with sonnys bbq. 10 minutes I did a foil packet butter poached salmon filet with quinoa cooking below it, 1 min high pressure cook and let it sit 10 minutes natural pressure release before venting it. if you get the instant pot smart version with the Bluetooth connectivity people are software app modding it to do souvide |
