Hello Brothers,
My name is Anthony Mangel and I was raised in march of 2010. I am a member of St. Johns #5 in West Columbia Tx. My job situation doesn't let me attend near as often as I want to. I have, however, sat as Chaplain last year. I am new to ARFCOM and newer still to this forum. It is good to meet so many fine people who share this disease. |
|
|
I had to laugh at myself because I just clicked on this thread and read a number of posts in which the Brothers said they did not realize that there was a Masonic Forum on ARFCOM,
I knew it was here, and have been posting, but somehow missed the VERY TOP THREAD that is for introductions. Certainly haven't been trying to be rude among Brethren... just had a brain freeze, I guess. Anyway, I am a current member of Clinton Lodge #3, and Past Master of Ebenezer Lodge #101 AFM, here in SC. One of the things I am most proud of in my Masonic career is that I not only raised my son, but I also had the honor to pass the WM gavel to him as he replaced me in the East. THAT was quite a moment. |

|
I've been here quite a while and didnt realize there was a forum section for Brethren. I was just raised April 28th 2011 at the Webster, NY Lodge #538, and sit in the Jr. Master of Ceremonies seat, and am on the path to the 32nd AASR degree right now.
Hello all! |

I was raised to Master Mason in Mimosa Lodge #542 in March of 2010.
I served as SD last year and I am currently in the south. |

Well, I thought I had already posted in here, but I just went through all 7 pages, and apparently I didn't.
Anyways, member of Spring Lodge #1174. Have not been put into a chair yet, though I have been asked to by the last three WM's. I work offshore and it wouldn't be right for me to sit in a chair that I couldn't fulfill to the best of my abilities. If anyone is ever in the Spring, TX area, give me a shout! |

Greetings, Brethren. I am very happy to find this part of the community. I am currently a plural member of Edmond Lodge #37 AF&AM in Edmond, OK and Riddick Lodge #361 AF&AM in Buffalo, MO (my Mother Lodge). I am a demitted member of Bolivar Lodge #5, RAM, Abou Ben Adhem Temple, AAONMS and 32, Valley of Joplin, Orient of Missouri. After moving to OK from MO I just flat ran out of time for anything except the Blue Lodge and time permits limited activities there.

I am a member of a lodge in Illinois (since 1993), I have moved many times and don't attend lodge meetings anymore. The main reason I joined was for work security (yes some bosses look for the ring) and a really hot 29 year old 36DD lady I wanted to take out, but wouldn't date anyone who wasn't a Master Mason, so I memorized and practiced and did all my degrees in three months. Yes, it was worth it.
However, the meetings don't do anything for me and nobody has ever called or written me from the Illinois grand lodge- why don't you join a lodge in Florida where you live? |

The Masons will never chase you down. You have to want to go and it sounds like you joined for the wrong reasons anyway. |

I think my story is actually pretty representative of the majority of newly minted master masons- When only 10% or so of new members ever become Lodge regulars, I think that begs the question, Why? Actually, I am a Blue Lodge statistical success story, as I am a continuous dues paying member. I was told by the secretary a few years ago, that I am the only one left from 1993, who completed his degrees and is still paying dues to our lodge.
