So we have a weapons cache/fortress set up across town. good structure, nice visiblity. and at my residence i have a shotgun and a bulletproof 4wheel drive vehicle. my question is when the zombies come, im going to need to get across town. i dont have the cash for more weapons so i was hoping for some ideas on good household items i can use to help keep me safe on the way.
thanks |

A: friends apartment, multi story and gated. although my parents house would be a good solution too.multi story, corner lot, brick wall surround.
B: I Just meant that my 4wd is solid axle and beefy i.e; wont break or bogg down. not literally bulletproof. (wish there was a middle finger bot here.) C: just trying to hear of any interesting solutions people here might have Quoted:

Be careful with an apartment complex. It doesn't matter that it is gated. There will be many people who get infected in the first wave of infection who will go hours before dieing and then coming back as a Zed. During that time many will return to their homes (apartments) and spread infection to their families.
Edit: See Dawn of the Dead remake for perfect example. Calm night, neighborhood fine. In the morning, there is already a Zed in the house and they are running rampant through the streets. |

So long as you're not smashing your radiator on Zeds you'll make it home to your cache. |

I say, good exit plan would be a boat and enough food/water to last a while. Then, hopefully the zeds will be weaker and easier to kill to find new food. 1. The vast portion of the population is not near large water sources... Or have boats... If you do have a boat and you are inland so you set out on a lake, make sure to remember zeds have a tendency to wander underwater and have been known to climb up anchor lines. 2. Why would zeds get weaker? or easier to kill? 3. Finding new food will not be all that easy. There will be many many people looting provisions during the first wave of the infection due to not having provisions prepared in advance. I have already put in place a plan to begin self sustaining off the land at my survival location. |
