You know they will find out what Shane did somehow. The drama has yet to unfold. I say Shane descends into madness and someone has to take his crazy butt out after they all find out what a douche he is. JMHO. I guess we'll see.

I was worried initially that I ruined the show for myself by having read the compendium. While there are parts of the show *tactics wise* that disappoint, I must admit that I am hooked on each scene. They have used very little of the book on this show and it keeps you wondering "Are they gonna go there?". This storyline with Shane is a good twist. Would I trust him? Hell no, BUT, if I need to send someone on that impossible mission that has the highest chance of getting back with the goods, yeah I'd send Shane.
I want to see more interaction between crazy ass Shane and Daryll. OR will this be one of those stories where Shane totally douches up, but comes through at just the right times that all seems forgiven? |

Otis may be back in some flashbacks to give a back story to the farm survivors.
I doubt he'll be back as a walker, they tore into him pretty hardcore since I guess all the Zombies are starting to starve. There wouldn't be enough left to become a walker. Now if they decide to go find him to give him a proper burial, they may could notice damage to the bone in his leg caused by the bullet, but that scenario is very unlikely. It would also be very unlikely that Otis would still be clutching Shanes hair, since his natural reaction would be to fight the zombies off, and im sure at some point his hand unclenched during the struggle. I say his guilt gets to him and he confesses to Rick hoping Rick will help him justify to himself what he did. |

I am thinking that Ricks gun will play a part in Shanes lie coming to light.
Shane kept saying that Otis would cover me and I turned around and......blah blah blah... Well, remember Shane took the revolver from Otis after he shot him?....I sure in the hell wouldn't let anyone know that I had Rick's gun after Otis was using the last round to "cover" me! Just a thought.... |

However that preview for the next 2 episodes had a familiar scene from the comics with Shane and Rick arguing in the woods. Don't think the writers will conclude the Otis storyline.

Im dissapointed in the "well" scene, they hyped it all up, had drama and then when the tore the poor bastard apart they just went "meh" and went about their business. Odd I think. The well water is contaminated which is a big deal IMO. Also, you dont see much day to day type living, you never hear them talk about water or food.
I think the Rick's revolver is a non-issue. Its easy for Shane to say that Otis ran outa ammo and gave it back to give back to Rick. So, Shane having it isnt that big a deal. I am getting sick of all the "gun control" so to speak. Who is Shane or anyone to say whether anyone is allowed to have their own guns. IMO, in the real world with Zombie, no one should go anywhere unarmed. Now ,that one chick has to be trained, blah blah. It gets old that Shane thinks he must control everything, personally his charactor is getting old, same with Rick's wife, not a fan. |

Jeeze I don't know how I missed this thread.
I have started reviewing these episodes on my blog. I started another thread in another folder and I will have the mods delete it or lock it since this is the :official: thread. As far as the "no guns on Greene land" agreement, maybe Hershel is thinking about enemies within, not without. Seriously, his right hand man goes off with one of them and doesn't come back, and they have the numbers to just take the farm if they want to. |

Disagree. I think that is the piece Dale put together. If Otis was covering Shane, and he stated they were down to pistols at that point, how did Shane end up with it if the walkers were on Otis? That's the SECOND time Shane has been caught by Dale in a lie (remember when he had drawn down on Rick in the woods). |
