If you had this many Zs coming at you and you were in a car/truck....

What vehicles do you think would get stuck aka SOL and what would plow right through them?

Lets say you are in your full size SUV and you have to go for it. Could swerving, reversing and ramming get your through?

Wouldnt you have to worry about high centering on bodies, too slick from blood, or just too much weight to push with the front bumper even in that?

Need a cow catcher on that.

Most post 2000 SUV's are pretty much road cars only.  But If you where prepared and built a snow plow style cutting blade on the front of your truck along with armored windows any SUV could probably push through since the blade would "cut" instead of push.

and the F-650 has alot of places where zeds could get tangled underneth.  Slap some sheet metal/skid plates on that chassy and it would work alot better.  personally a good uparmored rock crawler would be best

My truck on left.  Ranch toy on right, although it doesn't have an enclosed cab.  That could be fixed though.

I'm starting to think any tracked vehicle would be the best no matter what is was. A front end loader would be the perfect vehicle for obvious reasons and could be armored very easily. Plus, if it were diesel, it would run on just about anything.

The white paint is perfect too so you know where not to touch contaminated tissues.

problem is your oil pan, front and rear diff and gas/break lines and gas tank are all under there and un-protected.

For off the shelf Civvy available, I think that Tallahasse had it right.

Having a plow to part the crowd of Z's would be very handy indeed!

AM General M916 LET 6x6 tractor with a 400 hp Cummins diesel, 16 speed semi-auto transmission,  a 45k winch on the back, 46 inch tall tires.  It'd be pretty hard to slow it down, until the 1970's air-shift auto-clutch Cat transmission craps out, then it'd make for a nice 28,000 lbs coffin.  Or it's little brother the 915A1.  400 HP, a 5 speed Allison auto, but only a 6x4.  Then throw a flatbed on the back and a county plow on the front and plow through some stuff.  It still weighs 20,000 lbs so it should be hard to stop.  I figure these are some of the cheaper options with Zed crushing capabilities.  The M915A1 only cost $1,600, and all it needed was batteries.

I think my BFG Mud Terrains would pull me through that. I have almost full coverage now with 1/4 inch steel skid plates underneath and rock rails. I think it would be kinda fun to try...

Before the rock rails and skids, lift and winch bumper...before trail pinstripping and dents, too

Low speed glancing blows with a steel brush guard or the like is the only way to even consider it.

The first time something gets tossed onto the hood/into the windshield or gets tangled up in your undercarriage and it's all over.

6" Fabtech suspension lift with 315x75R16 Yokohama Geolander MT2's

has been a great lift, only breakages i have had in 160k miles have been the sway bar links and front shocks.
sway bar links i attribute to the clear roads liquid salt they use up here in the winter, rusts the bolt pretty good.  but its not a critical component anyway.
shocks i just replaced at about 140K (one was leaking) so prety good life out of it.

as with all lifts the Ujoint takes a toll, but the drive angle on the Fabtech is softer then most.  I generaly replace my rear most
Ujoint every 2-3 years (quick job on a Chevy) others are still original.
