I have been shopping for new home owners insurance.A few want me to sign paper work accepting no liability for my dog because he is a gsd, and on the dangerous dog list.Does anyone here have separate dog liability insurance for their dog? if so with who and what limits did you go with ? Thanks in advance.

if you don't have it, get it.

I'm in the process of having to cut a check to a woman for repairs to her car after she killed our GSD.

Did she drive on your property?  Cut a hole in your fence?  Cut the leash? Unhook the chain?  Lure your dog out with food?

If you can't answer yes to one of those conditions, she wasn't the one that killed your GSD.

I'm with Nationwide.  They have never asked about the dogs or the snakes.

Just got State Farm homeowner's.

They asked what kind of dog, and I told them about the English Mastiff.

They noted it.

Mine have been inside the Nationwide office with me more than once when going to see my agent.

Never any issues and have never had to sign any disclaimer junk.

From personal experience though, Their 'Family Compensation' plan thing on the auto policy that reimburses you for medical expenses (you and your 'family members') does NOT consider your dog as part of any family and his medical bills are not covered.

Did she intentionally kill your dog, and you have a witness to this, or did your dog run infront of her car while roaming?  Sorry about the dog
