First of all I want to apologize to all guys for any of my snarky comments in any of the " Caturday" threads. I have seen the light on how good a friend a kitten or cat can be. I still probably wont post in those threads but hey who knows.
Anyway I bought a Bengal kitten about 2 maybe 2.5 months ago from a reputible breeder. At the time of purchase i signed 1 maybe 2 documents and was given a copy of one of them. The guy told me the papers take quite a bit of time to go through all the proper governance's. So to me it seems to have been "quite a bit of time". I have emailed him a couple times and he assured me that everything was still in process. The last email was probably 2.5 to 3 weeks ago. This is the first purebred anything I have ever had so I am looking to see if I am being bent over or is this pretty common when it comes to purebred paperwork. I am doing this from my phone so the link with the pictures of him may or may not work. http://www.epsilonbengals.net/K-TangoxEinstein.2011.01.htm |

Can't speak to cats, but when we got the only purebred dog we've ever owned (our current dog, the first one we've ever got straight from a breeder) the breeder handed us the paperwork on the spot.
CFA is the cat equivalent to the AKC. Check with them. Something is rotten in Denmark... ETA: just looked at your link. CFA does not register Bengals. That means it's probably TICA, in which your breeder claims membership. Call TICA. |
