The smell that is. My lab got skunked on Aug 16 than again on Aug 19. He has been bathed to the point of dry skin. And still has the faint oder. And when he gets wet....OHHHHHHHH Man. And being a lab. Try to keep him dry. Not happenning

Tomato juice. Wash him in it.

Forget the tomato juice, peroxide, and whatever other useless homemade concoctions.

Call around to your local vets and see if any of them carry Skunk Off from Thornell

The stuff just plain works.

When our first dog got sprayed, the initial smell went away from washing with tomato sauce but the smelled lingered for over a year, when ever she got wet the smell would come out.  I had a skunk skin tanned.  It still smells 20yrs latter.  When it is damp out it smells.  The skin has a permanent home in the garage work shop.
