Aww man. He was a well known poster here. I read about that helicopter crash earlier. It is such a small world. That is horrible. Condolences to his family and friends.

Jason would watch over his buddies houses when he knew they were going out of town. Sometimes he would park his patrol car in my driveway when I was on vacation. He was "That kind of guy" that just was solid. He just randomly checked up on me this past Monday to see how my family was holding up with the quarantine. Before he earned his wings he helped a start a project with HPD to restore old patrol cars from all generations. He took these cars and other specialty vehicles like the SWAT armored vehicles and the helo to the Cars and Coffee events to serve as a community ambassador for HPD. Couple years before earning his wings he got banged up pretty bad in a hot pursuit where his cruiser flipped onto its roof and he still crawled out and detained the suspect - like an episode of COPS. I was lucky to have been able to help him with his various orthopedic injuries over the years. Truly a good guy. Its hard to accept that he's gone |

My two oldest friends in Texas after I immigrated here are two posters from this site. BigRedDog is one and Jason is the other. His family took me and my wife's filthy immigrant asses in every Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year and Easter and made us part of his family. Jason and his family are some of the nicest people I've ever met on earth and we lost a great guy today. I'm FFL manufacturer and I'm going to machine some lowers this weekend and engrave his HPD badge and the Air division logos on there for his Dad and his son. I'll likely engrave a pistol for his daughter. I know the family very well obviously so it's my hope we can all then shoot together to celebrate his life every year until we all pass on too. If anyone knows a graphic artist or similar than can help create a vector file of the Air Support badge please PM me as I need that to be able to laser engrave. |

| Very sad news. Though he hasn't been as active here in recent years, I recall a time when he was very active on the forums. He always seemed like a good dude. It is very sad that so many good folks who were members here at the time I joined have since passed on due to sickness, accidents or other causes. |
