Sorry for your loss. I've never been a parent, but two people very close to me died very young, 1 at 22 and 1 at 26.

I stay in touch with their parents, one group is my aunt and uncle.

I know it was the hardest thing they've ever gone through, but I also know that the outpouring of support from their child's friends was very special and important to them. Take comfort in how many people will sincerely miss and love your son. It can't make up for the loss of course but hopefully it brings you some comfort.

My thoughts are with you.
