"Heeelloooo Baaaaby!"

"Loook at aaall the people here toniiiight!"

VH is my favorite band.  I am one of the few "true" fans that stays out of the DLR vs Sam vs Gary vs DLR arguments (or even the VH III suxors tribe) and appreciates everything VH for what it is.  I can play air guitar to songs from 1978-current regardless of who is leading (well, not really).  EVH almost the second coming of Christ and I think he is given far less credit that what he deserves for being a song writer.

I saw VH in '04 w/ Sam at Omaha, Ames, and Rapid City, and twice so far in '07-'08 w/ DLR (Minneapolis and KC).  Had a great time at all the concerts.  I've also seen Sammy play a few times solo the most recent being in Nov in Sioux City.  Great times as well!

I miss Micheal Anthony on bass, but I think Wolfy will mature into a fine performer.  MA would have made the current tour THAT much better,... but as most VH fans know we must move on.

Favorite songs throughout the years are Running with the Devil, Feel Your Love Tonight, Hear About it Later, Panama, Best of Both Worlds, Cabo Wabo, Feels So Good, Pound Cake, Me Wise Magic, Without You, and Up for Breakfast (to name a few).

Any other die-hard VH fans out there!?!?!?

edit to add: "Everybody Wants Some" as another major favorite song!  I can hear the drums already.

I'm not a die hard fan, but EVH has blazed some trails and done things with a guitar that at the time, no one had ever thought of.

About 2 weeks ago I added VH 1 to my iPod that I take to the gym with me.  It's probably been 10 years since I listened to that album but I tell you it gets me pumped up.  VH Rocks!

I like Van Halen and Van Hagar. Cherone sucks, I've hated him since all my fellow musicians were wearing out the Extreme cd's back in the '90s. Yeah, EVH took guitar in a new direction, inspired tons of string slingers.

Here's an Eddie solo that really inspired me to learn his style. I have this solo on VHS somewhere. I used to watch this over and over and try learn every little lick that I could. I used to be able to play about 90% of it.
