Hey now,

I was wondering how many other folks got hooked on this website? I'm usually well behind the times with computers and stuff so I'm sure alot of you all have been to this place, but for those of you who have not, it's great. Essentially, it's a radio station that you can influence and it does a fairly good job if you are on top of it. You can only skip 4 or 5 songs an hour, which is not that great, but after a few hours of adding players you enjoy or songs you like, it gets pretty damn good.

I have spent the last couple days in front of the computer with this and found more than a few new artists who I really appreciate. I listen to more than a few obscure folk/traditional artists, and it's finding me some more interesting players. I'm sure this works just as well for metal, rock and everything.

Have fun, friends!

I've found Pandora to be a good source for finding musicians I'd never heard of. I particularly like some of the Jazz material I've found on there. It's also nice for a selection of old Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, or Dizzy Gillespie type music as well. Stuff like that is mostly what I use it for.

I listen to it at work.  Plug in Muddy Waters and they play some great blues stuff.

I listen to it every day at the office. Hoping maybe some of will sink into my brain and help me with learning guitar.

It's funny you say that. I have always told my students that they should listen to the folks they want to emulate. Putting a favorite player on constant rotation for a few months is good homework. I do it, and needed to do it when I went through a ragtime phase awhile back. I just couldn't get it down.

Well I figure since they might frown on me bringing the guitar to the office, listening to specific types of music at work should help me out in some ways.
