Here's a random completely awesome thought, what do you guys think of getting a bunch of us and collaborating a song together?

I think that this is an excellent idea! I would like to hear what folks come up with.

What equipment would be involved for those who are interested? I am going to go out on a limb here and bet that I fail in the equipment department

Should be like a Hangar 18 of Arfcom, we all contribute one awesome solo.

Acoustic - Accompaniment
I'll just sit in the back with my beer, strummin along to the chords, I can wear a wig if necessary

If needed I can break into an arpeggio solo to the likes of Simon and Garfunkle or perhaps Silent Night?

Edit - fix speeling

I can here it now....

We are the world....
 We are the children.
We are the ones
 who keep on shooting.

[Solo]

There are those among us
Who want to take our guns...
But we'll fight to keep those rights
Safe for you and me!!

[Solo]
Rhythm guitar and keyboards here.

I'm all for it. But I can't record anything until I get my tax return. I have to replace all of my cables. My brother stole them from me and then denied it.

I'm out of practice a little, so I will have to get my chops back up.

I'm willing to make a part for everyone, so don't worry if theres more than one person doing one thing.

Sure, why not. I play rhythm guitar. As far as recording equipment I have a Pod XT & Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro 3 on the computer.

What form will you want the audio in? MP3, Wave, Cakewalk Bundle.....................

Wav or mp3 is fine.

So who do we have so far,

Gone_Shooting - Rhythm
Myself - Lead
DV8 - Vocals?
ORARGB - Acoustic
Enigma - String

Am I missing anyone yet? Any drummers or bassists in the house?

It all depends if HC wants cowbell or not. It's what HC wants, and if HC wants said cowbell than I saw we give it to him...We can't have too much cowbell.

I can play rythym guitar, a little lead, mostly blues.

SBK can noodle a decent blues lead on electric, and he doubles on the bass, he plays bass guitar for the middle school jazz band.

We need a rthym section..

I'm a tenor. I'd be willing to sing for this after I get some kind of audio interface for my Shure Beta 87... That might be a month or two away though.

What tuning are we going to be using on the guitars?
12/21/2007 2:40:49 PM EDT
[#28]
Most likely Standard tuning.

Okay, that's what my King V is tuned in, no problem.

What about the riffs? Who's writing them?

Whatsup guys? I have been a lurker here for a while. I play drums, and would be glad to thow in my .02! I even have an electronic set which I don't care for too much, but it makes recording real easy.

I play bass and rhythm guitar. I also have the newest version of logic pro studio and have a lot of recording and mixing experience.
12/23/2007 7:53:58 PM EDT
[#32]
I may be able to add some electronic elements such as synths, if the tune can handle it

If not, I can figure something else out.
I can do vocals, but I don't know if I want to

ETA: Another with lots of recording and mixing experience.

ETA2: I should've brought some of my gear up to my folks house where I am right now so I could've recorded the V-drums

I'll see how the first song comes out then maybe think about getting in on the next one

Would be interesting to do covers this way too.
