Bad ass videos, thanks for posting those!  Seeing the C-130s doing that was awesome.

Do they post a schedule for those runs or do people just show up and hope for the best?

No clue. It's training, so there might be some public postings about schedule.

From what I've gathered form reading this and that. There are folks who make this their yearly vacation and camp out there for days or a week or more. Just sitting, waiting and hoping for someone to go buzzing by.

The backseater got in a bit of trouble for that one.   Still hilarious!

Regarding UK/EU planespotting.  Yes, people will stay all day/camp for days at spotting sites and bases.  There are caravans and tents outside the fence right now at the local RAF base.

From the US side anyways, we don't post a schedule publicly or anything.  That's all FOUO.  However, there is a low level frequency that all a/c call on when they are entering a low fly area.  The photographers monitor that and get cameras ready when you check in.  Then they post in a multitude of forums.  It's pretty legit!

Proof, that even the Brits have removed all fun from the workplace.

With today's trend, that would be grounds for a court martial.
