Nice! I was just there this week as well

It's incredible that they're still adding even more hangar space.  Will be sweet when they have the presidential planes displayed

Agreed did you take the bus over to the active base to see the X planes and the Presidential planes. I enjoyed seeing the X planes most of all.

Not this time around unfortunately.  I used to work on the base about 10 years ago, and got to peek at them back then.  Such a unique collection.  I'm glad they're still running the bus so folks can enjoy that treat!

All the AF museums consolidated some time back, and the flight test museum at Edwards AFB, CA is going to get some huge upgrades in the next few years.  Real hangars, for one, and they're putting them on public land so visitors don't have to shuttle service into the base.  If you're ever planning on being in the area highly recommend finding their website to see if they're full up yet!  I'm wondering if some of the X-Planes in storage at Wright Pat will get shipped to Edwards...

Glad you had a great time, awesome pictures!

I was at Edwards back in the early seventies while training on the C5 Galaxy. It is a very unique place and I will go back some day.
