It still sounds like they're sacrificing Scout capability and initial flight training, but I guess upgrading all the Blackhawks and Apaches is their priority. Maybe they're just waiting for a more Republican congress and White House before they announce the competition for a twin engine, single pilot IFR scout bird.

| That was a worthwhile video. Thanks for posting it. I'm honestly not sure if I will stay in when they get rid of the Kiowa. I hit 16 TIS in August and would probably just retire at the 20 year point. I'm a new Aviator so I don't really want to do that, however, I don't desire to fly anything other than Scouts or possibly Special Operations. |
