If I am concerned about my desktop humidor temp, would a possible solution be to store my desktop humidor inside of a cooler (new)?  If so, would I have to air out the cooler per the FAQ of humi section?

Note: I just acquired a 25 cigar humidor Saturday evening and I am still seasoning it by wiping it down with distilled water. The temp in my house fluctuates alot and can be over 75 degrees.

BTW-The analog hygrometer that came with my humi is shitty so I bought a Xikar digital one.

Not sure about the cooler.  I try to keep mine no more than 75.  I once had a budy bring me back some cigars from overseas, they must have got to hot becasue the bugs hatched.  Lucky I did not put them in my humidor.  I have only had bugs hatch once, I always had heard about it, and thought it was BS.  In rare cases it can happen but, I think it has to be over 85 for them to come out of thier dormat state.

Keep it at 70 degrees and you'll be ok....Above that it is a big risk, at least for me in NC

Thanks. The digital hygrometer says the temp is around 70, with +/- 1 or 2 degrees each time I've looked. I have a cabinet that I have a thermometer in and the temp in it has been < 75, so I should be GTG.
