I am posting to admit a total failure. I just returned from Mexico. We went to meet the inlaws and hang out at their timeshare for a week. When we got there my mother in law had a little goodie bag waiting. It had a couple of t-shirts from our favorite bars in it as well as three 'cuban' cohibas. When I asked her where she got them she told me that she bought them from one of the beach vendors that lurk around the bar that we hang out at frequently when we go to Cabo My failure was that I went into a couple of legit shops that I have purchased from before and I didn't buy anything Anyone else been to a shop south of the border and feel like it was half empty? I wanted to endulge but I couldn't justify it to myself. Are American's buying so much stuff that they don't have any to keep for themselves or are the tourist places so destitute that they can't afford to stock their shelves? |

I think it's a little of both...and also throw in a health dose of increased buyer knowledge but hey, as long as the MIL keeps buying from the shady guy on the beach....smoke it anyway. Who knows....maybe....cough/cough....they are real?!? |

Confession - Humidor style. Say three 'Our fathers' and get your MIL something nice for Christmas - it was a nice thought. Now, go forth and sin no more, my son. DT Done deal. Thank you father for your forgiveness ![]() The only thing I ever got from my MIL was grief. Nag, nag, nag. You're a lucky man. |
