I consider them a good starter or finsher cigar.   For when you smoke more than two cigars in a setting.  Since there not very light and not very strong.  Might have to take the one I have left in the humi to work.  Might knock that Doral smell out of my truck from the last guy.

The best thing I can say about them is, 'Meh'

Not good, not bad, but certainly not memorable.

I just smoked an Edge when I was fixing fence the other day...I was actually impressed.
It was way better than what I had thought it would be.

It came in an RP sampler, so Ive still got the Vintage '90, '92, sungrown, and connecticut to try yet.
Hopefully they'll be as good or better.

that's the exact same thing that came mind for me too: "meh"

In retrospect, I really used to enjoy rocky patels when i first got into cigars, but as my palate developed I went on to different brands. Very rarely do I still pick up an RP.

I'm the same.  While not a huge RP fan, I will smoke an Edge now and again.

Just finshed one. Good cigar for the price. I smoked a San Cristobal Monumento this a/m much better cigar but twice the price 12.00 vs 6.00 at the local shop. Try a La Gloria Cubana Series R #7 if you like maduro"s.

RP's Edge Maduro is the only Edge that I can't smoke. But I do love the Camacho Triple Maduros though.

The Edge Sumatras are excellent if/when you can get them. The shop/lounge that I go to is one of the top shops in Calif and one day the owner opened a 100 count box of Edge Corojos and all the sticks on top had plume (bloom) on them. Those were some of the sweetist smokes ever. Those sticks didn't last very long!

Omar Ortiz maduro owns the RP Edge and is 1/3rd the price.

RP rolls in an Altadis factory, Altadis took his blend and used their own tobacco and made the Omar Ortiz. Its a spitefull move by Altadis but damn is it a good cigar.

John, just for clarification, Rocky rolls most of his cigars in a factory he owns with Nestor Plascencia not Altadis. Nestor also rolls the Omar Ortiz maduro which is distributed by Altadis. I don't know if it's the same factory as the one he owns with Rocky (Nestor owns several different factories), but I can't imagine it would be.

Thanks John for the clarification, I was just repeating what the Altadis rep said to me at a cigar event.
