So my first week on cigarbid.com ended as follows:

First Purchase - Tatuaje Verocu Tubo - overpaid because I wanted one and because it was my first go around on the site - $12
Second Purchase - Don Pepin Garcia Black Cuban Classic 1952 (Petite Corona) (Single) - 2 for $2 each which is about half price.
Third Purchase - Man 'O War Ruination Robusto #2 - 1 for $5 which looked like it was about half price

I think I saved just enough on the second and third purchase to offset over paying on the first purchase and the shipping.

All in all I'm happy because I have a few sticks that I haven't tried yet and I popped my cigarbid.com cherry.

Anyone else remember the beginning of the end (your first purchase on the devil's site)?

I think my first CBID was my display humidor.

I waited about ... 2 weeks?

Next order was around $400 :/

OP don't buy singles unless you just can't find them in samplers.  You can usually find a sampler with a cigar you want to try which will leave you paying about 50% less per stick than if you would've bought them as singles.

Sorry for helping you spend your money

I think my first was a sampler and a fiver maybe some singles also.   When I bid on singles it's something I'm having a hard time getting my hands on.  Tend to put my cigar allowance towards boxes now instead of samplers.

I hear you.  My first go around I really just wanted to get a feel for the site and try to pick up a few cigars that I hadn't tried and I knew that I wasn't going to end up getting great deals because of the shipping cost for the small order I would end up with.  I am going to keep my eyes peeled for samplers.  What I would like to have is a box of Ashton VSG's but I haven't seen them pop up just yet.

What do you guys think of Camacho Corojos?  I used to smoke them on occassion but my tastes have changed a little since then.

Drop FRIGID an IM, he's the resident Camacho expert.

Swinging for the fences right out of the gate.  I actually looked at one the other day but I wanted to have my primary humidor stabilized after a couple of years of sitting before I bought sticks like that.

OK....you guys officially suck!

I enjoy a nice stick every now and then but was so happy just to stop into my local shop, talk with the beautiful Gabriella and make a few choice selections from the oasis-o-smokes.
I have visited on-line sites before and was always taken back by the in your face cheap "there things are GREAT" adds selling third rate smokes.

Enter my visit to the devil site after all of your "discussions".

You bastards just cost me two hundred bucks!
Damn you!
Ok....I scored some really great smokes for about half of what I was paying (and some for a ridiculous two or three bucks a stick) and I will be tasting new stuff that she doesn't carry and I picked up a new desktop humi for next to nothing...and...you guys suck!

I need to figure out a way to have the credit card bill say...."groceries" or "gasoline"....any words of advice on that one!

Oh yeah....and I built a cooladore last week now that the one I have at home is way to small for the boxes and five packs that have begun to start rolling in...
I had a bunch of old boxes that a made into trays that are nice and happy in there now that they have been seasoned and are up to the task.
Humidity hanging right at 68%....yeah, I know....Heartfelt beads...I heard you...quit yelling at me.....bastards....just bastards...

LOL.  We should petition CBID to establish a holding company with a name of Burt's Gas or something like they do with strip clubs.

That would be very helpful....at least next month!

I think my first order was a humidor...the second was some Carlos Torano Reserve Select in glass tubes. and think maybe a box of some Acid's or something like that, don't think they were the flavored ones though.  This was when they first started.

I know I got in on a couple Perdomo over-run bundles, Seemed hit or miss on hitting a bad stick with these.

And I never bought singles...and I think the only sampler I ever got was one that had some La Gloria Cubana's (my personal fave).

I haven't used that site in a very long time though.  Got out of the cigar stuff, except for on vacation...I like to search out a tobacco shop and get a couple for a beer/smoke before bed.  It made all the difference after a full day or two of Disney parks.

OK....got my first package from the devil site...

So how good is their customer service?
I received a bundle and I could clearly see holes in the celophane and into the wrapper of the cigar in a few places.
Three sticks had holes in them but that was just what I could see and I know enough to know that when you see one beetle...there are eggs lying in wait.
I opened the outer wrapper to make sure I was not nuts and sure enough...I found a couple of bugs in between the sticks and two on the bottom of the outer packing wrapper.
The bundle was not expensive (that is not really the point) but if I could spot that plain as day, you would think that a company that does it for a living would...

I filed a customer service request so I guess I will find out soon but you guys are veterans so I wanted to ask.
And no, I did not add them to my stash.
They are chilling in another part of the house.

Thanks in advance...

can't say for sure on an issue like this but I can tell you that I asked them a billing question and they responded within hours.

Only time I've ever contacted them I called the number on the site.  Keep us posted on the situation

I received an answer very quickly....they sent me a "how to" guide to do the freeze, refridge then return to the humi just like others have posted recently.
I thought they would replace them and the case notes did say if after I tried the "steps" and if I was still unhappy that I could request a RMA.

Not exactally what I expected but I am very new to the on-line world of cigars.
I had one issue with my local shop where I got the smokes home and noticed that I had one with a split wrapper.
I called the shop and she was mortified that it got past her..."Oh bring it back as soon as you can...".
When I did, she replaced it and sent me home with two others for the inconvience.
They were Padron 1926 #9's but the principal should be the same if it is your business.

Maybe my sights were set to high??

Their CS is outstanding.  That said, don't stand for beetle infested cigars.  Contact them and request a RMA and send them back pronto
Never ever stand for a seller sending you infested/molded sticks.

Unfortunately, that's the nature of the business/product, you're going to get that sort of thing occasionally.  But you paid for a pristine product, you should get the same.  Send them back.
