Have you ever lit the wrong end of your cigar?
I got done cleaning out an old shed this weekend and was watching the burn pile I had made from all the ancient crap that it contained.. Got out my cigar, trimmed it, and went to light it and ALMOST lit the wrong end. Is there any bigger cigar FAIL than lighting the wrong end? Does it taste like @$$ if you do? Just curious. |

I felt bad when I first introduced my buddy to cigars. I said "Yeah, just head out there. I'm gonna grab a diet coke and i'll be right there" I got out there and he had indeed lit it from the wrong end.
The cigar flavor stayed the same, that is no big deal. However, cigars are rolled with their apex at one end. By lighting the banded end first, the cigar flowered out as he smoked it. Rather than staying in a nice little cylinder, the wrapper itself flowered out. It got to where he had to hold close to the flame just to keep it from disintegrating on him. It was pretty hilarious. After he made it through about a third of it and I saw what it was doing, I grabbed him a different one out of my travel humi. ETA: cigars are rolled with their APEX at one end. I couldn't come up with that word to save my life last night
