Veluxe...only skylight that I will ever install and stand behind...or under.

Look into the "SolaTube" designs.

I've seen a few of those installed. Very small 'footprint' on the roof, and provides an extraordinary amount of light for the size.

freaking awesome
They do amazing things for dark small areas (hallways, bathrooms, etc) without all the heat and leakage issues of a full size skylight.
but sometimes a full size skylight is the right solution too.
