A safety tip thread for the “not so obvious” stuff you’ve learned over the years. I’ll start it off with the following...

I’ve been working about 25 feet off the ground and have been very conscientious about tethering my cordless tools with a safety line in case one was dropped. Well, I finally dropped one and the safety line worked as planned and save the drill motor, however there was one unanticipated consequence. Once the drill hit the end of the line the battery pack snapped free and continued its course. Fortunately nobody / nothing of value was below. I have since secured the battery pack with Velcro straps. Haven’t tested it yet.

It's very obvious, but I continue to see people not do it-

eye protection when you're weedeating, edging, drilling, chainsawing, etc.

Eyes are very expensive, decent and comfortable eye pro isnt.

Last weekend I stumbled on this tip:

Do not accidentally cut the cord on your 4-1/2" angle grinder with your 4-1/2" angle grinder.

Nothing good comes from this.
